Two group standards officially released

The Inspection Specification for Dynamic Capacity-increasing Monitoring Devices for Transmission Lines (T/SMA 0018-2021) and the Inspection Specification for Intelligent Management Devices for Dynamic Load of Transformers (T/SMA 0019-2021), organized by the Electric Power Professional Committee of Shanghai Metrology Association, with Shanghai Haineng Information Technology Co., Ltd. as its editor-in-chief and some network provincial companies of the three major national power grids, were officially released on August 2, 2021 and implemented on August 16, 2021.

The company has been committed to the technical research, product development and scheme planning of dynamic load management of power transmission and transformation equipment for a long time. By undertaking scientific and technological projects and implementing new technology demonstration and application projects, the company has obtained a large number of network operation cases in the State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, Mengxi Power Grid and enterprise power grid, and has accumulated rich experience in product design, R & D, manufacturing, testing, on-site implementation, operation and maintenance, A product system with advanced technology, mature products and replicable solutions has been formed. The dynamic load management products of power transmission and transformation equipment have passed the appraisal of the China Electricity Council, won national key new product certificates, various scientific and technological awards, etc., and obtained a number of invention, practical patents and soft-work certificates.

In order to better guide the development direction of the professional market and standardize the inspection and standardization process of dynamic load management products for power transmission and transformation equipment, the company applied to the Shanghai Metrology Association for the establishment of a project, and joined hands with experts and scholars from science and technology demonstration project cooperation companies to form an editorial board to prepare these two group standards. The Electric Power Professional Committee of Shanghai Metrology Association has organized four expert review meetings, and 32 experts attended the meeting and put forward revision opinions. The editorial board organized nine internal seminars on compilation and revision in combination with expert opinions and suggestions. A written solicitation letter was sent to 15 professional units and 27 experts to adopt feedback and complete the revision. The preparation work lasted one year, and the draft was formed and submitted to the Shanghai Metrology Association.

The issuance and implementation of the two inspection specifications are to promote the refined and intelligent management of the operating load of power transmission and transformation equipment, and to effectively solve the problems of short-term overload operation of electrical equipment due to static thermal stability constraints, and load blocking of power transmission and transformation sections in N-1/N-2 mode, in order to quantitatively evaluate the safety belt load capacity and safe operation time of power transmission and transformation equipment, tap the operation potential of some equipment in the local power grid, and improve the comprehensive technical and economic benefits of the safe operation of the regional power grid, a normative professional guidance document is provided.
